About the project
RES is proposing the Sweetwater Wind Project in partnership with local First Nations. The project is located in Treaty 8 territory, approximately 20 km north of Dawson Creek, British Columbia. The project is expected to generate up to 200 MW and would help meet the province’s rapidly growing electricity demand, driven by electrification, population growth, and industrial expansion.
Clean energy generation project ensures the provinces self-sufficiency and long-term energy reliability requirements are upheld and supports B.C.’s climate and economic goals.
The project is currently in early development, with environmental studies and regulatory reviews underway. RES is leading development in collaboration with First Nations and local stakeholders.
